USMC High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Practice Test

The military designation for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle is indeed the M998 series. This designation reflects the vehicle's classification and series within the military's inventory of tactical wheeled vehicles. The M998 series encompasses various configurations and variants of the HMMWV, including cargo, troop carrier, and ambulance models. The use of "M" in the designation indicates that it is a military vehicle, while "998" identifies the specific series that has been standardized and used extensively by the U.S. Armed Forces.

Understanding the M998 designation is crucial for identifying maintenance requirements, parts compatibility, and operational capabilities associated with this widely used vehicle. The other choices do not represent recognized military designations for the HMMWV, thus reinforcing the accuracy of the M998 series designation as the correct answer.
